Now operating under Colorado Outfitters license #2500, Ron has set out to introduce a relatively under appreciated aspect of fly fishing here in Colorado -- Winter Time angling.

Noting that the unique terrain of the Pueblo Plain sandwiched between Pikes Peak and the Wet Mountains produces warmer than normal temperatures as compared to the conditions prevailing to the North and South of this area, coupled with recent changes made to the stream bed of the Arkansas River below the Pueblo Reservoir has resulted in a champion grade trout population that can be pursued all winter long -- Ron has structured his guide service around this unique situation, and has been introducing clients to Colorado Winter fly fishing for a number of years now.

Lou McCullough

Lou retired from military service several years ago and decided to take up fly fishing -- a sport he had long practiced and drawn much pleasure from. Lou has been a licensed guide in Colorado for two years and has a great deal of experience fishing the tail waters of the Pueblo Reservoir, as well as numerous other locations here in the Pikes Peak Region of the Southern Rockies.

Over the last two years Lou has volunteered for the Wounded Worriers program, of Project Healing Waters. It is truly an honor and privilege to assist our greatest heroes.

Lou has developed a reputation for his professionalism as well as his congenial manner. Many of Lou's past clients seek him out when they are looking for a good weekend of fishing.

Colorado Fly Fishing Services welcomes Lou to our staff and look forward to a long and enjoyable relationship. Lou's dedicated approach fits well with our philosophy of fishing for fun, rather than as a competition.
